Look out, race car fans, because Cadillac has announced that they’re going to be bringing back a race car as part of their 2023 lineup! The V-Series prototype is going to dazzle spectators at the 2023 Le Mans Race in France. Cadillac has participated in this event in the past, but it’s been almost 20 years since they’ve featured a vehicle there. With the help of Dallara, Cadillac is looking to overtake the competition with their LMDh-V.R race car at the IMSA WeatherTech Series and the FIA World Endurance Championship.
The chassis is a standard Cadillac design, but you’ll find a much more powerful powertrain under the hood. Vehicles in the LMDh sector can’t have more than 500 kW / 670 horsepower included. The exterior is impressive, with a very superhero vibe to it. There are some features that Cadillac included in the LMDh-V.R in hopes of testing the waters with the all-electric future market.
Cadillac is working closely with Chip Ganassi Racing as well as Action Express Racing to make this vehicle one to remember. Before it’s featured at Le Mans, you can catch it at the 2023 Rolex 24 at Daytona. A lot of thought has been put into this vehicle’s design, and we here at Van Cadillac are excited to see what it will accomplish when it’s up against some of the other top race car manufacturers.
