Cadillac came out with its first vehicle back in 1937. Since then, this is a brand that has gone to great lengths to set the bar among the vehicle market. Today, they have a vast selection of luxury sedans, SUVs, and mid-sized vehicles. When it comes to technology, Cadillac utilizes the features that they feel are very important. Their technology packages usually include a mixture of comfort/convenience features, as well as features that are designed to improve the overall safety of a vehicle. One feature that has been used for several model years is the Memory Seat function. Not only do you have power seats in the front of your vehicle, but the driver's seat can be adjusted to the driver's desired position. You can then save the positioning into the memory of the computer. The next time you enter the vehicle, you can recall the positioning that you liked best the last time you were driving.

How to Adjust Your Cadillac Seat

On the left-hand side of your driver's seat, there will be a small cluster of controls that are used to position your seat. Most Cadillac models can move the seat forward and backward, up and down, adjust the lumbar support, and change the support in the thigh area of the seat. Some of the controls might be located underneath the seat, depending on the Cadillac model you have. When you are adjusting your seat, you want to feel like you're comfortable. You should be able to sit in that position for a long drive without experiencing any discomfort. You should also be able to see the road correctly, both in the front of the vehicle and back.

Saving Your Seat Positioning

Once you have your driver's seat exactly where you want it, you can quickly save the positioning. If anyone else gets behind the wheel before you use the vehicle next, you can recall your favorite position without having to fiddle with everything all over again. To save your seat positioning, follow these steps:

  • Press the 'Set' button that is located on your driver's side door. Depending on the vehicle, this button could be located somewhere else. Press once until you hear a beep sound.
  • Press the 1 or 2 button to save your positioning to that location.
  • Two beeps will indicate that the seat settings have been saved.
