Specs at a Glance

The Cadillac XT4 belongs to the class of small SUVs. The XT4 is a top choice in its crowded class for many reasons, including the fact that it has an overall appealing package with plenty to brag about in the areas of performance, style, and interior design. The Cadillac XT4 brings some minor changes to the market in 2021. One change, which affects just the base level called the Luxury, is adding a power liftgate as a standard feature. Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay are now standard as well for the first time in 2021. Of the three trims offered for 2021, the base Luxury trim and the Sport, which tops the line, are excellent choices. Each one offers something unique, ranging from exterior design to interior amenities that might influence your decision about which trim level to get.

Performance

Performance is the same for both Cadillac trim levels. They both share the same gasoline engine, which is a turbo 2.0L that has four cylinders. Power output is the same for both trims at a maximum of 237 HP and 258 LB-FT in torque. They also both have an automatic transmission with nine speeds. You can keep the standard front-wheel drive drivetrain that accompanies both trim levels or upgrade to all-wheel drive, which is optional, instead.

Appearance

The Luxury and Sport trim levels have slightly different appearances that distinguish one from the other. The Luxury has LED headlights and 18-inch wheels. With the Sport trim comes some distinguished exterior features, including 18-inch alloy wheels with a special diamond-cut and metallic finish. Red brake calipers are also standard. It has some additional exterior design elements, including a glossy black finish to the front grille, standard roof rails, and side windows.

Features

The 2021 Luxury and Sport trims of the Cadillac XT4 also differ in their list of interior amenities. Standard features with the Luxury include wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay for the first time. It adds a convenient power liftgate, and it also has Cadillac's user experience system. The Sport has an upgraded interior with leather seats and a hands-free power liftgate. Rear parking sensors are included with the Luxury, while the Sport has parking sensors in front and back, along with lane-change alert and rear cross-traffic alert. The Sport trim also has carbon fiber interior accents and sporty accents in its cabin to complete its athletic look.
