Performance
Both of these models utilize the same engine, a 6.2L V8 engine, that produces a maximum power output of 420 HP. However, you can also choose to get a turbo diesel engine with six cylinders and a maximum power output of 277 HP. This engine cranks out a maximum of 460 LB-FT in torque. With either engine comes a 10-speed automatic for the transmission. Rear-wheel drive is standard, but you have the option of getting four-wheel drive as an alternative. The Cadillac Escalade base model has a towing power of 8,200 pounds, and the ESV can pull up to 8,000 pounds.
Appearance
The Cadillac Escalade base, and the ESV, have a large, bold, and impressive exterior design. The Cadillac Escalade is 211.9 inches long, and the ESV is 227 inches long. The base model has large 22-inch wheels and a hands-free liftgate, along with an abundance of chrome accents and an overall sharp design. The ESV is equally glamorous. It is equipped with 22-inch wheels that have an alloy finish, and you can get chrome-accented alloy wheels as an alternative. Automatic headlamps are standard with both models.
Features
There are many luxurious and useful features that come with both the base model and the ESV. The base model has Android Auto, Apple CarPlay, and wireless phone charging. It also has an expansive digital dashboard display with a 16.9-inch infotainment system and a separate instrument cluster. Heated seats are standard on the base model, and it also has tri-zone climate control. The ESV has many of the same features, and it also adds parking sensors in front and back and a 19-speaker audio system from AKG.
