How Often Should I Service My Cadillac?

Ideally, you will have your car serviced as suggested in your owner's manual. Relying on this manual is important as different models may have different requirements even if they are made by the same manufacturer. By adhering to the maintenance schedule developed for your vehicle, it can help improve performance both now and well into the future.

15,000-Mile Service

At 15,000 miles, it is a good idea to have the tires rotated and the oil changed. Normally, you will have your first oil change and tire rotation at 7,500 miles. It is also a good idea to check the engine oil level and filter when you hit this milestone. Most other vehicle components should be showing little signs of wear at this point.

  • Oil Change - Drained and Replaced
  • Check All Fluid Levels - Top Up as Needed
  • Tires Rotated and Balanced
  • Check Air Filter - Replace as Needed

30,000-Mile Service

Tire Rotation IntervalsWhen you get to 30,000 miles, you will want to once again have the tires rotated and the oil changed. It may also be a good idea to have the driver and passenger side engine air filter checked and replaced. If any other service is suggested by the manufacturer, be sure to have it done as soon as possible. For instance, it may be necessary to check timing belts or having certain fluids flushed.

60,000-Mile Service

Between 30,000 and 60,000 miles driven, you should make a point to inspect the evaporative control system. This is in addition to once again having the tires rotated and the oil changed. Tires are typically designed to last between 45,000 and 60,000 miles, so it may be time to have them replaced. It may also be time to replace the battery, starter or alternator.

  • Inspect Brake Rotors - Replace as Needed
  • Check for Wear on Belts and Hoses - Replace as Needed

90,000-Mile Service

By the time that you have put 90,000 miles on your vehicle, there is a good chance that the manufacturer's warranty has expired. Therefore, it is a good idea to have everything checked at this point. This means inspecting the tires, brakes and metal parts in the engine. It may also be a good idea to take a look at the exhaust system or other components that could be at a higher risk of failing as the car approaches 100,000 miles.

  • Top to Bottom Inspection
  • Check Spark Plugs - Replace as Needed
