First retail production 2025 Cadillac ESCALADE IQ EV raises $550,000 for Detroit Children's Fund

The 2025 all-electric Cadillac ESCALADE IQ is poised to make a big impression. Cadillac has decided to auction off the first retail production model to celebrate its launch and ensure it supports a great cause (Vin 001). The proceeds from this auction, totaling $550,000, will be donated to the Detroit Children's Fund.

Barrett-Jackson Waives Fees and Commissions

On October 12, 2024, the first ESCALADE IQ was auctioned off. Barrett-Jackson generously waived all fees and commissions related to the sale so that the Detroit Children's Fund could receive the entire amount raised.

For those unfamiliar with the Detroit Children's Fund, it is a non-profit organization that works to provide high-quality education for Detroit's children. GM President Mark Reuss shared his enthusiasm for this important cause: "The education of its children is paramount to the stability and long-term health of any city, and we're thrilled that the sale of the first ESCALADE IQ will benefit the work the Detroit Children's Fund is doing in our hometown."

The DCF partners with select schools in Detroit and will use the funds from this auction to support thousands of students. The non-profit's CEO expressed gratitude for Cadillac's support: "We are grateful to General Motors, Cadillac, and the winning bidder for their support of our mission," said DCF CEO Nick Karmanos. Cadillac is deeply involved in charitable initiatives, with a strong focus on improving the lives of children.

The auction's winning bidder also received something remarkable. The all-new ESCALADE IQ includes a 40-speaker AKG Studio Reference sound system, an impressive 55-inch diagonal pillar-to-pillar touchscreen, and a standard Super Cruise. This model will be the most advanced and luxurious ESCALADE ever produced, making it a purchase worth celebrating.
