Cadillac is advancing its racing division with the creation of a two-car factory team. Starting with the 2025 racing season, Cadillac will debut a two-car factory program named Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA. The team will race the No. 12 and No. 38 V-Series R vehicles, each powered by a V8 Cadillac engine. The drivers will be announced before the 2025 season kicks off. Despite the 2025 season still being ahead, Cadillac has already achieved notable success in 2024, earning third place at the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This was a remarkable accomplishment in Cadillac's debut WEC season. The team also placed in the top five at Portimao, Sebring, and Spa-Francorchamps during the 2023 season. The V-Series R
The V-Series R is a sleek race car developed by Cadillac, featuring a 5.5L V8 hybrid engine that excels in both power and efficiency. The V-Series R is fitted with a seven-speed transmission and generates up to 670 horsepower. It also includes a high-voltage battery pack, allowing for up to 12kW of energy regeneration. The car's electronic rear braking system provides enhanced control and stability. The V-Series R belongs to the broader V-Series lineup, which includes the stylish V-Series Blackwing. The Blackwing is available in models such as the CT4-V and CT5-V.
