
Cadillac is set to return to the 24 Hours of Le Mans Endurance Race this June, entering four Cadillac V-Series.R racecars.
Automobile Club de l'Quest, the event organizer, extended the invitation. In recent years, the manufacturer participated in three Hypercar entries. This year marks a milestone as it celebrates the 75th anniversary of Cadillac's first entry at Circuit de la Sarthe.
The Cadillac Racing team will boast drivers who have previously achieved overall class wins at Le Mans and titles from the FIA World Endurance Championship and IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship. The vehicles, Cadillac Hertz Team JOTA Sport V-Series.R numbers 12 and 38, will include drivers Jenson Button, Earl Bamber, Sebastien Bourdais, Alex Lynn, Norman Nato, and Will Stevens. The Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing V-Series.R, carrying number 101, will be piloted by Ricky Taylor, while the Whelen Cadillac V-Series.R, with number 311, will feature Jack Aitken.
In Cadillac Racing's debut season in the WEC Hypercar category in 2023, its entries achieved third and fourth-place finishes. The following year, Cadillac Hypercars qualified in the second and third spots and reached a best finish of seventh. The JOTA Sport team has previously earned podium finishes in 10 Le Mans races, including second and third places in 2017.
