What's New For the 2019 Cadillac CT6?

The 2019 CT6 has been built with minor cosmetic updates as well as an all-new twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Looking at the front, you'll see newly designed headlights, LED ribbons, and a wider and sleeker grille. At the back of the car, there's now a chrome strip that stretches across the trunk, connecting the two vertical taillights. There are two new exterior colors - Manhattan noir metallic and shadow metallic - that are available. There are also two new interior color combinations - Sahara beige and dark auburn - both of which are complemented by jet black accents.

What Are the Latest Features for 2019?

There are four trim levels for the 2019 Cadillac CT6, starting at the Luxury version. These cars come with Bose Premium eight-speaker audio systems, 14-way adjustable front seats, and leather seating surfaces. Also included is the full Cadillac user experience in conjunction with a 10.2" diagonal color display and connectivity to Bluetooth, USB, and auxiliary devices. Premium Luxury sedans come with Bose 10-speaker Centerpoint Surround Sound, 16-way adjustable heated front seats, UltraView power sunroofs, and HD Surround Vision. They also come with automatic parking assist and a hands-free deckled with a Cadillac projection light. The Sport version features all of Premium Luxury features plus an aggressively styled sport grille and rear spoiler, dark side glass window moldings, 19" multi-spoke alloy wheels, and a carbon fiber interior deco trim. At the top of the line is the Premium Luxury CT6. It comes with the Super Cruise Driver Assistance system, magnetic ride control, and Bose Panaray 34-speaker system, and 20-way adjustable front seats that are heated, ventilated, and capable of massaging.

The Cadillac CT6 Delivers Robust Power & Performance

The CT6 offers some different engine options. They all feature a 10-speed Hydra-Matic transmission that allows for fast and responsive shifting. The 2.0-liter Turbo I4 has 237 horsepower, the 3.6-liter V6 has 335 horsepower, and the 3.0-liter twin turbo V6 can deliver up to 404 horsepower. The 2.0L Turbo uses a rear-wheel drive system and the others use an all-wheel drive system.

Setting this car apart from many others in its class is its use of the Cadillac Super Cruise semi-autonomous driving-assist system, which comes with the CT6 and CT6 Platinum. With Super Cruise engaged, the car can use LiDAR mapping, a network of cameras and radar sensors, and highly advanced controls to provide a hands-free driving experience on the freeway. Other active safety features include automatic emergency braking, active lane control, lane change alert, blind zone alert, and a following distance indicator. The vehicle's camera system allows drivers to get a better perspective when maneuvering into small spaces, and the rear cross traffic alert can work to prevent accidents when you're pulling out of a spot in reverse.
