What Does the Cadillac Symbol Mean?
The appearance of the Cadillac symbol dates as far back as 1902. Engineer Henry Liland and businessman William Murphy contributed to the overall concept and look. The family Cadillac crest is in honor of Henry Le Sieur Antoine De La Mothe Cadillac, a military leader and French administrator in the 1700s. The current logo is a bit different, as it was changed in 2014 to the laurel wreath design with the coat of arms. There have been a number of other changes over the years.
