The family Cadillac crest is in honor of Henry Le Sieur Antoine De La Mothe Cadillac, a military leader and French administrator in the 1700s. The current logo is a bit different, as it was changed in 2014 to the laurel wreath design with the coat of arms. There have been a number of other changes over the years.
