The best way to protect your vehicle's value and ensure that it functions well for many years is to maintain it properly at regular intervals. Our Van Cadillac service team have answers to frequently asked automotive service questions.

How Often Does Cadillac Recommend an Oil Change?

It is recommended that you get an oil change every 5,000 -15,000 miles (depending on the type of oil used) or 6 months. Checking the owner's manual will also offer insight into when the oil should be changed, which can vary depending on the make and model of the vehicle.

Do You Have Loaner Vehicles or a Shuttle?

This will be based on availability. Please contact us to confirm in advance.

Will My Warranty Cover My Repairs?

It depends on the warranty. As mentioned above, Cadillac vehicles after 2011 have a Cadillac Premium Care Maintenance plan included. Vehicles between 2011 and 2016 have 4-year/50,000-mile coverage, while vehicles after 2017 have 3-year/36,000-mile coverage. This plan is transferable to new owners as well. It covers oil changes, tire rotation, air filter replacement, and multi-point vehicle inspections. You may also have a Pre-Paid Maintenance Plus plan, which offers coverage for many more items, including spark plugs and fluid changes among others. GM also offers extended warranty coverage. If you contact us, we can take a look at your warranty and help you understand exactly which repairs are covered and which are not.

When Should I Replace My Tires?

Cadillac recommends rotating your tires every 7,500 miles, which should help you get the most out of your tires. Three to four years is the typical lifespan for tires, but it depends on many factors. You may get 50,000 miles out of your tires, or you may only get 30,000. Your tires should be replaced when the tread is too worn to be safe. We can check your tires when you come in for scheduled maintenance. You can perform your own tire check by placing a penny head-down in the tread. If you can see the entirety of Lincoln's head, then your tread is too worn.
